I know that this is a newer, Skip-encoded version of the film compared to an old version we had on the site, and I'd heard of some problems (now fixed?) with the MPEG4 version of the movie, but I don't know if anyone has tried that particular import - has anyone successfully burned a DVD of the MPEG2 version, which I presume is what's being tried here?

I would be interested to know about this. My guess is that the audio isn't in a format that Ulead likes...

Just burned the following file "reefer_madness1938.mpeg" to DVD format.

The issue could be the audio like you said. I have had the same type of errors with several DVD editors that do not support AC3 audio.

I used Nero 6 Ultra (with all new web site updates... AC3 sync fix).

Hope this helps.

PS. It also includes a very nice mp4 encoder and player.
